Nadia Abu Shama

(One of the greatest authors in Algeria and the Arab world)

Nadia Abu Shama is a distinguished writer of Algerian origin, born and raised in the Babour Mountains in the hanging city nestled at the foot of a towering peak. The breathtaking nature and the rugged mountain life she grew up in serve as a powerful source of inspiration for her writing. Her work reflects a deep connection to the land and her roots, exploring themes like identity, womanhood, and freedom with a blend of poetic depth and raw realism. Nadia’s vivid, detail-rich style makes readers feel as though they’re living each scene firsthand. She’s considered one of the prominent female voices in contemporary Algerian literature, always striving to let her words echo the mountains that shaped her early life and awakening.

Biography

Nadia Abu Shama, is of Algerian origin. She is a distinguished writer, an eloquent first-class person, and a talented writer. In a fantasy world other than that one you live, you are under a spell with her charming words, dancing with her messages. She is able to stir up all the sorrows confined in your deep recesses, so as to perceive the universe with the eyes of purity, serenity, and childish ecstasy.

She was born and brought up in the Babur Mountains – the city hanging at the foot of a large mountain with a geographical and historical heritage and home to revolutionaries during the French occupation, where great revolutions and battles took place. This region of enchanting and rare beauty was very isolated and remote from the capital city , just like a pearl or an expensive diamond concealed from all the world’s eyes.

Text translation
