Biography
A distinguished Imam and Khateeb at the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf, Ibrahim Dahi Khamis brings extensive experience in leading prayers and delivering impactful religious guidance both in Egypt and internationally. He currently serves as an Imam in mosques in Edku City, Beheira Governorate, and has been selected to lead worshippers in several mosques across the United Kingdom since 2025.
His journey with the Holy Quran began at an early age, reflecting a deep-rooted commitment to its memorization, recitation, and teaching—an approach that has shaped his scholarly and professional path.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic and Arabic Studies from Al-Azhar University (Cairo), graduating with distinction and honors, demonstrating a strong scholarly foundation in Sharia sciences and the Arabic language.
As the founder of an Al-Azhar-accredited Quran memorization center, he has mentored and graduated numerous reciters who have obtained certified Ijazahs in Quranic recitations. He has also recorded a complete Murattal recitation of the Holy Quran under the sponsorship of (Aeeh Press), reflecting both proficiency and dedication in Quranic recitation.
He has received certified Ijazahs in Quranic recitations under the supervision of Sheikh Hassan Ali Habala, a specialist in the Ten Qira’at. His qualifications include the recitation of ‘Asim (Hafs & Shu‘bah), Al-Kisa’i (Al-Duri & Abu Al-Harith), and Khalaf Al-‘Ashir, in addition to certifications in Tuhfat Al-Atfal and Al-Jazariyyah. He is currently advancing his studies toward further Ijazahs in Qalun ‘an Nafi‘, Ibn Kathir, and Abu Ja‘far.
Known for his strong communication skills and engaging delivery, he effectively conveys Islamic teachings with clarity, balance, and a commitment to promoting moderate values within diverse communities.
