Ashraf Abdel Hamid Al-genbihy graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of English Language and Literature, at Alexandria University, Damanhour branch, in 1991. His academic studies and deep engagement in literature significantly enhanced his appreciation for English literature, particularly the works of Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe. As an Egyptian teacher, translator, poet, and writer, he has made significant contributions in the fields of authorship, poetry, and both literary and scientific translation. Driven by his profound love for English literature, Ashraf did not limit himself to teaching as an English language instructor; he also immersed himself in translating renowned Arabic poetry into English, transforming it into a new poetic form that makes the translated text appear as a new literary masterpiece rather than a mere clumsy literal translation that loses the original text’s beauty and brilliance. This skill has allowed him to convey the richness of Arabic poetic heritage to the English-speaking world. His achievements and poetic talent have earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and fellow writers and intellectuals, establishing him as a gifted figure in his field.

In addition to his translation work, Ashraf is a co-author with Dr. Fayad on several scientific books about the unified word and quality marks, an innovative science. He has also written poetry on the “Unified Word,” which includes more than 50 discoveries and quality marks for each word. He has authored several invocations, some of which have been recited, such as the invocation “Messenger of God,” and he has written numerous short stories like “The Dawn Call” and “Do Not Bury Her,” among others. His poetry collection, titled “The Dowry of the Sun,” is still in the process of publication. Furthermore, his name as a poet appears on the covers of a series of works by Dr. Mohamed Fayad on the “Unified Word,” which include titles such as “The Path to Success: Achieving the Ultimate Goals of Any Word When Defined,” “The Impact of the Goal of Any Word: A Journey to Success,” “Quality Marks for Any Word: Discoveries from Theory to Application,” and “The Chaos of Any Word: The Path to Failure.”

Ashraf Al-genbihy has received widespread acclaim from various writers and translators. Poet Ahmed Shalaby praised his translation work, stating, “I commend you for this psychological beauty and spiritual tranquility, which has granted the English text a splendor as if it were an original text in its own language.” Renowned translator Sihaam Hamouda expressed her admiration for his work, saying, “What a beautifully crafted translation!
